Just before midnight Friday (Dec 6), authorities in Moniteau County received a 911 call that shots had been fired at an apartment complex in the 400 block of High Street in Tipton.

Tipton Police and Moniteau County deputies responded, where a 48-year old woman (identified as M.D.B.) was located outside with multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities also located a 28-year old woman (identified as S.L.T.) with lacerations to her head.

Individuals at the scene reportedly told officers that a man, identified as 43-year old Bobby Joe Moore, of Sedalia, arrived at the apartment complex and confronted S.LT., who he had previously dated.

M.D.B. then came outside, when Moore produced a handgun and shot her multiple times.

Moore then allegedly struck S.L.T. in the head with the gun and fled the scene on foot.

S.L.T. was taken to a Jefferson City hospital for treatment. While M.D.B. was flown to University Hospital for treatment.

Deputies with Moniteau and Morgan Counties, Tipton Police, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, then began a search for Bobby Moore.

Just after 1:00 a.m. Saturday, Tipton City Marshal Edward Wiecken, along with another Tipton officer were canvassing the area near St. Andrews Catholic School in the 100 block of W. Cooper Street in Tipton.

The officers encountered Moore, who was attempting to hide near a doorway.

Marshal Wiecken then noticed Moore still had the handgun and ordered him to drop the weapon. Moore then allegedly stood up with the gun and advanced towards the officers, who again, ordered him to stop.

Moore reportedly refused all commands and Marshall Wiecken fired 5 rounds, striking Moore, who fell to the ground.

Authorities rendered first aid and a short time later, Moore was flown to University Hospital for treatment.

As of December 7, S.L.T. had been treated and released from the hospital. M.D.B. is currently in the hospital, but listed in stable condition following surgery.

Moore is currently listed in stable condition at the hospital following surgery. He is under guard by the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department.

Moore has been charged 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
