Sedalia Man Faces Several Charges After Confronting Police
On Sunday at 11:57 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 100 block of West Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance.
While en route to the scene, Joint Communications informed officers that a male suspect stated he would shoot officers in the head if they showed up at his house.
Upon officers' arrival, a male subject came out of the house with a handgun.
The subject was then taken into custody.

31-year-old Matthew L. Barkacs of the address now faces seven charges, including unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, 4th degree domestic assault, 4th degree aggravated assault, unlawful of an illegal weapon, aggravated assault with a victim or witness in a felony prosecution and resisting arrest.
