Sedalia Man Injured in Johnson County Wreck

A 49-year old Sedalia man received minor injuries late Tuesday night in a vehicle accident in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident around 11:45, on Route EE, west of SW 501 Road.

According to the online crash report, the accident occurred as an eastbound 2011 Kia struck a deer in the roadway.

A passenger in the Kia, George R. Apel, suffered minor injuries. The report indicates Apel was seeking his own medical treatment.

The driver of the Kia, 34-year old Heather D. Apel, of Sedalia, was not injured according to the report.

Both were wearing safety devices.
