A Sedalia man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 1997 Dodge truck, driven by 23-year-old Nathan E. Seifner of Sedalia, was on US 50. just west of 12th Street around 1:30 a.m., when the driver lost control, and the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Seifner suffered serious injuries and was flown to University Medical Center in Columbia by MU Air.

The Dodge was totaled and towed by Don's Truck Towing.
