Sedalia Man Injured in Two-Vehicle Wreck

A 51-year old Sedalia man was injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Friday evening in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported accident just before 6:00, on US-50 at MO-127.

According to the online crash report, a Chevy Impala, driven by 51-year old George R. Apel, of Sedalia, was attempting to cross Highway 50 and struck the towed unit of Dodge Ram, driven by 45-year old Matthew S. Oberweather, of Lone Jack, MO.

Apel suffered minor injuries and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, by PCAD, for treatment.

Oberweather was reportedly uninjured.

Both drivers were wearing safety devices.
