If the kids have been antsy and wanting to do something outdoors, this may be what you're looking for.

The Sedalia Parks and Recreation Department has a lineup of youth sports programs that start in March and April.

First up on the list is Biddy Basketball. This is for ages 3-4. Join the Sedalia Parks and Rec for this parent-interactive program that will teach the skill set of basketball with the guidance of their staff.  All players will get a t-shirt.  This program is held in the Convention Hall gym. Better hurry to get into this program as registration ends Monday, February 8. The cost is $25 per child. Games are scheduled for Mondays March 1-22 or Wednesdays March 3-24 from 5:30-6:15 p.m.

If you have kids that are a couple of years older, the Little Hoopsters may be the ticket. This program is for ages 5-6. The cost is $25 per child. Registration ends February 8. Games are scheduled for Mondays March 1-22 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

Third on the list is Youth Baseball. Those in grades K-9 can sign up for summertime fun in the Sedalia Parks and Recreation Youth Baseball league!  Practices begin in April and games are held in May and June.  Volunteer coaches are needed. Let Sedalia Parks and Rec know if you can help!  Sponsors are also needed. Registration begins February 8. Early Bird registration is February 8-26 with a cost of $45. Open registration is March 1-12. The cost then goes up to $55. The program is for grades K-9.
