Police arrested a 21-year-old Sedalia on May 8 after responding to a disturbance in the area of W. 6th Street and S. Moniteau Avenue. Police say Chad William Marcum was involved in the disturbance, and was a suspect in another case. An officer contacted the detective working that case and Marcum was arrested for theft. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges.


A 34-year-old woman from Edwards, Missouri was arrested for possession of marijuana around 7:30 p.m. on May 8 after Sedalia Police were dispatched to Centennial Park on a complaint that a person was smoking marijuana. Police say Christina M. Clark was found to be in possession of marijuana. Clark was arrested and later released on a summons.


On May 8, 2017, deputies with the Pettis County Sheriff's Officer were dispatched to the area of Callis Road and H Highway in reference to stolen equipment. An employee of a tree trimming service reported a 2015 John Deere Gator had been stolen from their job site. The investigation is ongoing.


A 23-year-old Sedalia man was arrested just before 4 a.m. on May 5 after reportedly being discovered passed out in a vehicle sitting in the middle of the street. Police responded to W. 3rd and S. Moniteau Avenue and say they found Matthew Ryan Woosley, who was taken to the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated. He was released pending state charges.
