Livestock Shot in Pettis County

A man in the 21000 Block of Glenn Road in Smithton reported to Pettis County Deputies that yesterday someone shot one of his sheep.

Short Pursuit in Pettis County

Last night (June 19), Pettis County Deputies attempted a traffic stop with a motorcycle on Route H and Georgetown Road. The driver of the bike failed to yield for the traffic stop and a short pursuit ensued to the area of Hughesville. The driver of the bike got away, but he has multiple pending charges pending when located.

Several Thefts Reported

A man in the 200 Block of West 6th reported to Sedalia Police that someone broke into his apartment and stole a flat screen TV valued at $268 between June 14 and 17.

A man in the 2600 Block of Brandon Terrace reported to Sedalia Police that a push lawnmower valued at $100 had been taken from his yard between 5 p.m. on June 18 and 5:30 p.m. on June 19.

A man in the 1800 Block of West 3rd reported to Sedalia Police that an air conditioning unit was stolen from his home between March 24 and June 19.

A man in the 1200 Block of Sedalia Road reported to Pettis County Deputies that someone stole a GPS from a tractor-trailer semi while it was parked between June 5 and 19.

Two Arrests Made

Yesterday morning (June 19), Sedalia Police went to State Fair Spirits at 1419 South Limit, for a report of a burglary. Sedalia Police found a glass door that was broken with a landscaping brick and some items were stolen. Sedalia Police were able to identify the suspects and found two males lying in a soccer field unconscious with items from State Fair Spirits nearby. 17-year-old Juan Cano was arrested for burglary in the 2nd, stealing and property damage. The other male was said to be a juvenile and was turned over to juvenile authorities.

Sedalia Police arrested Thomas Williams for a municipal warrant for failure to appear for assault, bond set at $183.50.

An ID was found in Liberty Park and brought to Sedalia Police for safe keeping.
