The following Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff's Crime Reports are from the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013.

Sedalia Police Respond to Medical Call

Early this morning, Sedalia Police went to the 1400 Block of Liberty Park Boulevard per the request of medical personnel. Sedalia Police found an unnamed female unresponsive and she did not respond to resuscitation efforts. The female was pronounced dead by the coroner and the body was released to Rea Funeral Home.

Sedalia Police Investigate Dog Bites & Assault

A boy in the 1200 Block of South Arlington was bit in the face by a dog when he pulled the dog's ears. The boy was treated at Bothwell Regional Health Center. The dog is current on his rabies vaccinations and is being quarantined at the home for ten days.

A woman in the 1300 Block of West 4th reported to Sedalia Police that a dog bit her on her right heel on Sept. 1. The woman got treatment for the bite at Bothwell Regional Health Center on Sept. 3. The dog is current on his rabies vaccinations and is being quarantined at the home for ten days.

Sedalia Police is investigating a reported assault that happened in the 400 Block of East 6th.

Sedalia Police Investigate Theft Report and Property Damage

A man in the 800 Block of West 7th reported to Sedalia Police that someone stole an 8 x 10 foot flatbed trailer and two four-wheelers, altogether valued at $2700.

A woman in the 1100 Block of West 2nd reported to Sedalia Police there was a disturbance. She reported to Sedalia Police that during the disturbance, a known subject damaged her cell phone causing $200 in damages.

A woman in the 100 Block of Roadrunner Court reported to Sedalia Police that somebody dented her vehicle between 4 p.m. on Sept. 2 and 2 p.m. on Sept. 3.

A man in the 2900 Block of West Broadway reported to Sedalia Police that someone has been placing trash and scrap in his dumpster without permission since July 1.

Several Arrests Made

Sedalia Police arrested Katherine Adkins for failure to appear for stealing, bond set at $148.50 cash; failure to appear for non-support, bond set at $5,000 cash; and a probation and parole violation with no bond set.

Sedalia Police arrested Rhonda Taber for having a city warrant, bond set at $100 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Jose Cornejo-Chavez for no operator's license.

Pettis County Deputies arrested Jacoby Gepford at his home for having an outstanding warrant from Sarpy County, Neb. Gepford is currently being held as a fugitive from justice in the Pettis County Jail.
