Police say a 24-year-old Otterville woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and on an outstanding warrant from Cooper County after being found sleeping in a vehicle in a Sedalia resident's driveway. Police made contact with the woman in the 400 block of W. Main Street around 9 a.m. on August 26 and discovered that she had an outstanding warrant for dangerous drugs. Landria A. Curry was searched and authorities say they found drug paraphernalia, which was collected as evidence. Curry was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 800 block of E. Broadway Blvd around 6:47 p.m. on August 27 in reference to a fight that had occurred inside a convenience store. Officers collected video and statements from employees, who said that four male suspects were involved in the fight. During the fight, four cases of bottled beer were broken. The incident remains under investigation.


Sedalia Police were called to Walmart for a reported theft on August 25. Police made contact with a suspect who was reportedly found on video to have stolen items along with an accomplice the day before. 59-year-old Harvey Townsend and 43-year-old Carla Sue Townsend were both arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where they were placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of burglary and stealing.


Police made three arrests after being dispatched to 16th and Ohio on August 25. An officer identified vehicle that had been reported stolen parked at a business just before 8 p.m. 28-year-old Keenan C. Rucker of Warsaw was identified as the driver and was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle. A police report says further investigation revealed Rucker to be in possession of methamphetamine. A second suspect, 34-year-old Aaron Jason Brown of Green Ridge, was contacted and found to have two active warrants. A third suspect, 38-year-old Jason L. Kreisel of Sedalia, denied that he was involved and left on foot. Police say they found items belonging to Kreisel while processing the stolen vehicle. Illegal prescription pills were reportedly found along with those items. According to a police report, Kreisel came to the police station later in the evening to collect his bag, and he was arrested. All three suspects were taken to the Pettis County Jail.


Just before 6 a.m. on Friday, detectives with the Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau and Sedalia patrol officers served a no-knock, drug-related search warrant on E. 15th Street. Sedalia Police say a K9 unit alerted to the presence of drugs in several places throughout the residence. Methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found in the residence. 29-year-old Crystal Wilson was arrested on multiple charges. Police say Wilson was distributing methamphetamine from the residence. Wilson was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
