Sedalia Police and Pettis County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reports for November 29, 2017
Sedalia Police made two arrests, including a 32-year-old Otterville man who they say fled from a traffic stop at Scott Joplin Ct. and W. Saline St. on November 28. Police located Justin H. Schoen and arrested him for felony warrants and resisting arrest. According to a police report, Schoen was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges. A passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Larissa Nicole Boone of Sedalia, was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On November 27 police arrested a Sedalia man accused of assaulting another man in Liberty Park. According to police, the victim reported that he was fishing when he was approached by the suspect who began asking odd questions. The suspect allegedly punched the man in the face as he began to walk towards his vehicle to leave. Jessie R. Williams was taken into custody on 3rd degree assault charges and was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.
Sedalia Police deployed a K9 unit during a traffic stop around 9:15 p.m. on November 27 near S. Limit and Tiger Pride Blvd. According to police, the vehicle was stopped for expired registration. A search of the vehicle reportedly led to the discovery of a white substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a digital scale. The driver, 32-year-old Michael J. Sieger, and a passenger, 28-year-old Koby W. Graham, were both arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
Pettis County deputies arrested a man after a traffic stop on US 50. According to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, Carlos E. Staten was arrested for a parole violation, and was also found to be in the possession of suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. State was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges.
