Sedalia Police Arrest 5 People Following Investigation into Heroin Distribution

In response to recent information regarding heroin distribution occurring within the Sedalia/Pettis County area, the Sedalia Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit has been actively seeking out individuals involved in the distribution of the substance.

According to a press release from the Sedalia Police Department, the investigation has identified numerous subjects and residences in the area where heroin distribution has been occurring. Police say that cases were developed on those subjects and charges were presented to the Pettis County Prosecutors Office.

Arrest warrants were issued on four different individuals identified to be involved in distributing heroin. In addition to the arrest warrants, three no-knock search warrants were issued for residences which were reportedly identified to be involved with drug activity.

On Wednesday (Dec 20), the Sedalia Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigations Bureau, members of the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, and Missouri State Highway Patrol served the search warrants and sought out those individuals with active arrest warrants.

The search warrants were executed at 4320 McVey Road, 1515 E. 4th Street, and 803 McVey Road - Apt B.

The press release indicates that searches of all three residences revealed heroin, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, and additional evidence to support heroin distribution occurring at the homes.

47-year old Kenneth S. McGee Sr.

- Arrested at 1515 E. 4th St.
- Resides at 4320 McVey Rd.
- Arrested for two active Pettis County warrants:

$50,000.00 cash only bond

27-year old Tuesday M. Sparks

- Arrested at 1515 E. 4th St.
- Resides at 4320 McVey Rd.
- Released at the scene pending state charges: Distribution Of A Controlled Substance (heroin)

31-year old Charles B. Price, or “Polo”

- Arrested at and resides at 803 McVey Rd., Apt B
- Arrested for an active Pettis County warrant:
- Delivery Of A Controlled Substance (heroin)
$25,000 cash/surety bond

54-year old Viktor A. Chernish

- Arrested at and resides at 4320 McVey Rd.
- Placed on a 24 hour hold pending state charges:
- Possession Of A Controlled Substance (heroin)
- Possession Of A Controlled Substance (methamphetamine)
- Possession Of A Controlled Substance (hydrocodone)

23-year old Zachary L. Denny

- Arrested at and resides at 1010 W. 4th St.
- Arrested for an active Pettis County warrant:

Police say additional suspect(s) are still being sought in regards to the investigation.
