Baggie with drugs found in the 1300 block of West 10th

Around 11 o'clock Tuesday morning Sedalia police investigated a report of found drugs in the 1300 block of West 10th. Upon arrival officers took charge of a baggie with a white substance in it that tested positive for cocaine. The drugs were placed in evidence for later destruction.

 

Lincoln woman reports her wallet and a license plate stolen from her vehicle

At 10:50 Tuesday morning, Sedalia police received a theft from a motor vehicle complaint from a Lincoln woman. According to the victim her wallet with personal cards and $115 in cash was taken from inside her vehicle while it was parked at Mike's Transmissions, located at 3611 South Limit. The victim said the back license plate is also missing from the vehicle. There was no information on possible suspects.

 

Laptop computer stolen from a vehicle at the Comfort Inn over the weekend

Sunday evening a female victim reported a laptop computer was stolen from her vehicle while the vehicle was parked at The Comfort Inn located at 3600 West Broadway. Value of the computer was placed at $300. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

 

Mother reports her daughter's cell phone was stolen while at a local dance studio

Sometime Monday according to a Sedalia police report, a woman reported her daughter's cell phone was stolen while she was at The Center Stage Dance Studio, located at 2408 South Limit. There were no suspects.

 

Johnson County accident causes minor injuries to a Warrensburg woman

At 8:30 Tuesday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Southwest 250 Road at Route "U" in Johnson County. The accident happened according to the report as the 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 36-year-old Lisa Eckes of Warrensburg was reportedly taking up more space than allotted. A 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pick-up driven by 41-year-old Isaac Guinn of Holden turned onto the road and sideswiped the Eckes vehicle, which then traveled accross the roadway and struck an embankment. Eckes received minor injuries and was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
