The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the afternoon of Sept. 25, 2013.

Traffic stop this morning lands man in jail on warrants

Just after 5:00 this morning, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and State Fair Blvd. for displaying license plates belonging to another vehicle. A check through dispatch revealed that the driver, 26-year-old Abone Madden of Knob Noster, was suspended and had three active warrants out of Johnson County. At the time of the police report, Madden was in the Pettis County Jail pending a total of $5033.50 in bonds.

Bicycle rider arrested early this morning on a failure to appear warrant

At 2:02 this morning, Sedalia police stopped a man on a bicycle at 5th and Montgomery that did not have a headlight in violation of city ordinance. A check through dispatch revealed the rider, 23-year-old Marcus Iman of Sedalia, had an active municipal failure to appear warrant on an original charge of stealing. Iman was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending an $88.50 cash only bond.
