Sedalia Police reports 8-15-19

Sedalia Police arrested 19-year-old Anthoney Wayne Collins of Hughesville after conducting a vehicle check at 3rd and Moniteau Wednesday at 8:40 a.m. Collins was wanted on a Green County warrant for 4th degree assault. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $500 cash or surety bond.


On Wednesday at 2:24 a.m.,, a woman reported that someone broke the windshield and back glass on her 2018 Jeep in the 300 block of W. 10th.


Sedalia Police arrested 25-year-old Jacob Levi King of Sedalia on a Pettis County warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:56 a.m. Wednesday after conducting a traffic stop at 9th and Center for expired registration.


Sedalia Police arrested 34-year-old Dione Nicole Downs on seven Municipal warrants at 19th and Ohio after responding to a verbal disturbance between a male and female at 10th and Ohio Tuesday around 8:45 p.m. Downs was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $420 cash bond. She now has an Aug. 28 court date.


Sedalia Police contacted 20-year-old Cynthia Rose Wilson in a alley near the 200 block of South Stewart on Tuesday night around 11:15 p.m. According to a report, Wilson attempted to drop evidence on the ground and was uncooperative with police. Officers located a syringe on the ground, and also found a marijuana pipe in her possession. Wilson was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released on two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to obey a police officer.


On Tuesday, the owner of Sedalia Automotive saw a white male messing around under the hood of a vehicle on his lot. The suspect left the area when he saw Terry Arnold and Arnold followed him to a gas station, where he spoke with the suspect. Arnold later noticed parts were missing from the vehicle. There were no arrests made in the case at the time of the report.


On Tuesday, a woman reported that someone broke the front door of her residence in the 200 block of South Prospect in a burglary attempt, causing $200 of damage, but the suspects were apparently scared away when her dogs started barking.


Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old Calvin Wade Comfort on a parole violation in the 200 block of South Stewart on Tuesday just after 11 p.m. Comfort was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of East Chestnut around 10 p.m. According to a report, one subject threatened to shoot the other. 29-year-old Sean David Carroll of Sedalia was taken to the Pettis County Jail. He was charged with harassment and 4th degree assault.


On Monday, Sedalia Police took a report from a family stating that a female was sexually assaulted by a known suspect several times over the past two weeks in the 500 block of E. 5th.


Sedalia Police had a vehicle towed that was abandoned in the Hobby Lobby lot, 4125 W. Broadway, on Monday night. The vehicle was believed to be stolen and had sat on the lot for more than 48 hours.


Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 15th and Collins just before 7 p.m. Monday. The SPD's K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle, and drug paraphernalia was discovered inside. 29-year-old Travis D. Martin of Sedalia, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
