Sedalia Police arrested a Warrensburg man on July 17 after probable cause search yielded drugs, paraphernalia and an illegal weapon. 31-year-old Brian E. Tripp faces a total seven charges after a traffic stop at 14th and Missouri.
20-year-old Kelsey Nicole Chalfant of Sedalia was arrested in the SPD lobby on July 19. She was wanted on a Pettis County warrant on original charges of possession of a controlled substance, leaving the scene of an accident and DWI. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $7,500 cash or surety bond.
39-year-old Travis Eugene Ballew of Sedalia was arrested on two felony FTA warrants on original chargs of domestic assault Saturday at 11th and Vermont. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.
21-year-old Rino Sarafin was arrested after a woman filed a complaint against him in the 1300 block of South Sneed. According to a report, the woman said she watched a male block her children from coming when she called them by using hand gestures to entice them to leave with him. The suspect was later located on South Park and arrested. Sarafin was placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold. He was booked and released on a charge of harassment.
22-year-old Christopher Alfonzo Byrd of Sedalia was arrested at 4th and Ohio Saturday after a traffic stop. A computer check revealed Byrd was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for a traffic offense. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 cash bond.
23-year-old Samantha J. Carter was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at 6th and Vermont Friday around 6:30 p.m. Carter was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.
25-year-old Matthew Hasbrouck was arrested at McDonald's, 3101 W. Broadway, after Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check. Hasbrouck was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 cash bond.
On Friday, a man reported that a packaged valued at $40 delivered by the US Postal Service to his front door in the 800 block of Brentwood, was stolen.
45-year-old Brian M. Welch was arrested in the parking lot of Casey's General Store, 3050 S. Limit, around 9:40 p.m. July 17. Welch was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
On July 18 at 3rd and Quincy, Sedalia Police arrested 20-year-old Jordan D. Lawson of Sedalia after a traffic stop at 10:23 p.m. According to a report, the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle, and a subsequent search revealed a large amount of THC products inside. Lawson was charged with possession and distribution of marijuana. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
Two people were arrested in the 1200 block of South Grand Sunday around 5 p.m. One was wanted on a Municipal warrant with a $50 bond, while the other was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $7,500 bond. 35-year-old Amy Lynn Hilton and 37-year-old Troy J. Harms were both taken to the Pettis County Jail.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlights at 1:08 a.m. Saturday at Broadway and Kentucky. 23-year-old Tristan D. Schrimpf of Jeff City was charged with DWI after providing a breath sample at the SPD. He was issued a citation for being above the .08 legal limit. Schrmpf now has an Aug. 21 court date.
28-year-old Lauren Blair Blaylock was arrested by Sedalia Police around 8:40 p.m. Friday night at WalMart. According to a report, the suspect shoved a shopping cart containing a small child into the victim's back. Blaylock was later located and arrested on a 24-hour hold. She was charged with 4th degree assault and 2nd degree endangering the welfare of a child.
On Saturday at 12:32 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Kylee E. Kella for driving while revoked after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate lights at 9th and Porter. Kella was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.
On Friday night around 8:30 p.m., 29-year-old Brandon L. Kelch of Sedalia was arrested for trespassing 808 E. Broadway. Kelch was later located at 5th and Marvin and taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. He was issued a summons with an Aug. 21 court date and released.
Sedalia Police arrested Melissa Lois Dorsey on a traffic charge with a $150 bond Saturday at 12:46 a.m. in the 1000 block of E. 5th. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
21-year-old Jodie Raye Cornine of Hughsville was arrested for driving while suspended after a traffic stop for no license plates at Boonville and Watson at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. She was taken to the SPD for fingerprinting.
36-year-old Brandon J. Miller was arrested after a traffic stop at 11th and Lamine at 10:34 p.m. July 17. Miller was wanted on a warrant and was also found to be in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
On July 18, 20-year-old Keyshawn Jonathan Flowers was arrested after a traffic stop on a silver Chrysler in the 100 block of E. 6th at 12:15 a.m. Thursday. A computer check revealed he was wanted on two Pettis County warrants. Flowers was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
