Sedalia Police reports 11-13-17

Sedalia Police arrested Cassie Marie Clemons, 21, Sedalia, for 4th Degree Domestic Assault at 12:34 p.m. Saturday after officers were called to a domestic disturbance call in the 600 block of E. 5th. According to a report, the suspect threatened to assault Chelsea Clemons after officers arrived. Investigation revealed she also allegedly assaulted Charles Haan prior to their arrival. Clemons was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of charges for 4th Degree Domestic Assault.


 

Sedalia Police arrested Richard A. Windsor, 52, Pettis County, after officers responded to a disturbance in the 1100 block of Ware. According to a report, the victim said he rented property from National TV in Sedalia. Employees showed up at his house to seize the property due to non-payment. One of the employees allegedly assaulted the victim. Medical treatment was not required, the report said. Windsor was issued a Municipal summons for assault.


 

David Ryan Batzel, 32, Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam), which was found in his backpack at 3rd and Osage at 11:37 p.m. Saturday. Batzel was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

On Friday, Sedalia Police took a report from a victim in the 1200 block of South Barrett, who said a suspect struck him in the face, ripped his jacket, took his cell phone & left the area. The phone was later retrieved and returned, but the suspect was not located.


 

On Sunday, Sedalia Police took an assault report at 5th and Hancock just after 8 p.m. According to a report, the victim was punched in the face by a male, who then left the area in a white Dodge Ram. The suspect has not yet been located.


 

Joshua McAlister, 22, homeless, was arrested for open container Friday after Sedalia Police were called to the area of Applebee's on a subject stumbling into the roadway. He was later located near W-K Chevrolet, 3320 W. Broadway. He was found to be intoxicated and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed into 12-hour protective custody. He was released without bond and he now has a Dec. 6 court date.


 

Jose de Jesus Garcia Perez, 35, Sedalia, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license at Osage and Cooper just after 8:30 Sunday night after a traffic stop on a white Nissan truck for no license. He was also charged with failure to use a turn signal. Perez was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. His court date is TBA.


 

Joseph J. Moore, 42, homeless, was arrested after a bike stop at 16th and Washington for no front light at 1:01 a.m. Friday. A computer check revealed Moore was wanted on a Muncipal warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $10 bond, with a Nov. 15 court date.


 

On Friday, Richard David Bodenstab reported that two tires were stabbed on his vehicle in the 1800 block of S. Vermont, causing $400 of damage. There are no suspects.


 

On Sunday, LaCrista Barrett reported that someone entered her locked vehicle and stole $10 in charge and $100 of CDs in the 600 block of Wilkerson. The incident occurred between Friday and Sunday.


 

On Sunday, Gerald Allen Young reported that someone entered his car and stole change and keys in the 300 block of W. 3rd.


 

On Friday, James A. Piatt and Timothy Lee Davis reported damage to a house in the 400 block of Wilkerson during a forced entry. There are no suspects.


 

On Friday, Tristan W. Sprinkle reported the theft of a $500 gun from his truck in the 2700 block of S. Kentucky. There were no signs of forced entry, according to a report.


 

On Friday, Jacob S. Graff reported that someone entered his vehicle in the 2800 block of Keith Allen Drive around 6:30 a.m. According to a report, nothing was taken and there are no suspects.


 

On Friday, Break Time, 2801 W. Broadway, reported that a suspect pumped 15 gallons of fuel, then left without paying shortly before 3 p.m. Video surveillance of the suspect was supplied to Sedalia Police, which identified the type of vehicle involved in the theft.


 

On Friday, police took a report from Kimberly A. Hughes, who found a 26-inch Mongoose bike in her yard in the 200 block of E. 13th. The bicycle was taken to the bike shed.


 

On Friday, police took a report from Kenneth W. Norton, who found a large Genesis mountain bike in the 3300 block of S. Park. The bike was placed into evidence.
