Sedalia Police reports 10-25-19

Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Savanah Halferty Beard of Smithton at 5:39 a.m. Monday after she nearly hit a patrol car on 16th Street. According to a report, Beard was eastbound on 16th approaching Collins, and the officer was westbound on 16th when Beard allegedly crossed into his lane, nearly colliding head-on with his patrol vehicle. The suspect's car continued swerving across the center line prior to being stopped at 16th and Madison. The driver was found to be intoxicated. She was taken to the SPD, then onto the PC Jail, where she was booked on charges of DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was later released once sober

41-year-old Jason B. Warren of Sedalia was arrested by Sedalia Police after he allegedly assaulted his domestic partner at 808 E. Broadway Wednesday night around 10:15. The victim had physical injuries, according to a report. Warren was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a charge of 3rd degree domestic assault.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old Jessie J. Cornwell of Sedalia in the 1100 block of South Harding at 2:27 a.m. Thursday on a no-bond probation violation warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 122 a.m. Sunday at Broadway and New York on a vehicle with no plates visible. Investigation revealed there was a temp tag in te rear window, but not displayed on the rear of the car where it's required. According to a report, the driver has marijuana flakes visible in his lap. A subsequent search revealed more marijuana in the vehicle and in his pocket. The driver, 35-year-old Troy C. Wright of Sedalia, was found to be driving while suspended. The passenger admitted to owning the marijuana and was issued a summons with a Dec. 4 court date, according to the report.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 52-year-old Kimberly Kay Bosworth of Sedalia after officers conducted a warrant check in the 400 block of Albright Court. Bosworth was wanted on a Pettis County warrant for DWI. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
