Sedalia Police reports 9-23-19
Sedalia Police arrested one man after a short foot pursuit on Friday. According to a report, police made a traffic stop on a vehicle at 3rd and Grand at 12:08 a.m. Sept. 20. The driver stopped, but then fled on foot. He was later located hiding under a nearby trailer. 26-year-old Kristopher Gavin Lee Paxton of Sedalia was taken into custody. He was also found to be in possession of knuckles. Paxton was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was charged with driving while revoked, resisting arrest and possession of an illegal weapon.
Sedalia Police arrested a Green Ridge man at 2:20 a.m. Friday after a traffic stop at 10th and Moniteau for a license violation. The report stated 35-year-old Richard Lee Kohrs threw items out the window before stopping. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and charged with possession of meth and marijuana packaged for distribution and tampering with physical evidence.
62-year-old Donald Dean Friese of Sedalia was arrested by Sedalia Police after he allegedly assaulted his wife in the 1800 block of E. 22nd on Thursday. He was charged with 3rd degree felony domestic assault to which he admitted, according to the report.
Sedalia Police took a report from a woman who said there was a black male and white female selling steaks and burgers out of a newer white four-door Ford pickup in the 1100 block of South Harding on Sept. 18, and an additional charge of $229 was added to her account, which was unauthorized.
On Sept. 18, Sedalia Police took a theft report in the 1600 block of South Carr in which a 12-gauge shotgun was stolen from a women's residence between Sept. 2 and 18.
Sedalia Police took a report of an attempted break-in at 408 South Ohio on Sept. 18 in which an exterior door was bent and pushed forward.
Sedalia Police took a report at North Cedar and Route HH in which they were shown security footage of a suspect driving onto the Brown Farms property, trying to gain access to a building there on Sept. 19.
Sedalia Police took a property damage report at Menard's, 4400 Wisconsin, on Sept. 18. A suspect was seen on security video damaging the victim's truck with a shopping cart, causing $500 in damage.
On Sept. 18, a man reported a theft from his vehicle in the 1220 block of W. Main. Taken were a key, numerous old paychecks and a firearm, with total value set at $800.
Sedalia Police checked on a man walking in the middle of the street at 6th and Marvin on Sept. 19 at 3:39 a.m. A computer check revealed that 33-year-old Justin David Woolery of Sedalia was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $350 bond.
On Sept. 14, Sedalia Police responded to a traffic complaint in the 900 block of E. 10th and arrested 32-year-old Herminio L. Caraci. He was charged with DWI-prior offender and driving while suspended. His blood alcohol was over .08, according to a report. Caraci was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at 32nd and Kentucky Sept. 18 for a license violation. A subsequent search revealed pills and drug paraphernalia. Charges are being requested against the female driver.
On Sept. 18 Sedalia Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of North Engineer. According to a report, the daughter assaulted the mother during an altercation. The daughter had injuries to her face. Charges are being requested for child abuse, 3rd degree domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child. No names were released.
Sedalia Police are requesting 4th degree assault charges after an incident in which the suspect punched a female in the face, then walked off Sept. 16 at 1:25 a.m. in the 500 block of W. 7th.
Two people were arrested at 2:41 a.m. Sept. 21 at 13th and Harrison after a traffic stop on a blue Ford truck. 19-year-old Richard Danforth Bartlett of Sedalia was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Also arrested was 25-year-old Tevin L. Auntley of Sedalia on the same charges. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
18-year-old Nathan A. Pardee of Sedalia was arrested at 3110 W. Broadway Sept. 21 at 12:01 a.m. He was charged with minor in possession of alcohol. He now has an Oct. 16 court date.
Sedalia Police took a burglary report at the Rose M. Nolen Black History Museum at 109 Lima Alley on Sept. 20. Taken was a 40-inch Vizio TV, valued at $300. The theft occurred between Sept. 15 and 17.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for excessive window tint at 6th and Moniteau Friday morning around 8:45 a.m. A computer check of the driver revealed that 28-year-old Parris Marlon Potts was driving while suspended. Potts was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop for speeding at 3211 S. Limit Sept. 17. 21-year-old Jose Juan Montoya Almarez of Pettis County was found to be driving without a valid license. He was taken to the SPD, fingerprinted and released with two citations.
Sedalia Police arrested 42-year-old Catherine Margriette Schneider of Warsaw on a Pettis County FTA warrant for stealing Sept. 20. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $250 cash bond.
Katy Motors, 4303 S. Limit, reported a missing vehicle from their lot Sept. 20.
Sedalia Police arrested 34-year-old Kari Mae Robinson at Centennial Park Sept. 18 on a Pettis County warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $3,500 cash or surety bond. She now has an Oct. 1 court date.
Sedalia Police took a burglary report from a man in the 1000 block of S. Ohio on Sept. 19. Taken were numerous games, consoles and a necklace.
Brick Front Grill, 3007 W. Broadway, reported a burglary Sept. 19 in which a window was broken and a cash register containing $70 in cash was taken. The register was found nearby with the cash missing.
The Mall Styling Salon, 1806 W. 11th, reported a burglary over night at Sept. 19. A side window was broken and $510 in cash was taken.
Tacos El Charro, 2121 W. Broadway, reported someone damaged a drive-through window Sept. 19, but did not gain entry.
ABC Mini Storage, 416 W. Main, reported that three units had their locks cut on Sept. 19.
On Sept. 18, Sedalia Police arrested 37-year-old Maribel Madrid after she was stopped for speeding through a school zone at 2205 South Ingram. She also had a brake light out. Madrid was found to be wanted on a Municipal FTA warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $100 bond. She now has an Oct. 16 court date.
