Sedalia Police Crime Reports for September 3, 2019
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Ram that ran a stop sign at 13th and Summit, around 7:40 p.m. Friday. It was discovered that the driver, 53-year-old Aaron Dale Fisher of Smithton, was intoxicated. Fisher was taken to the SPD, where he was fingerprinted, booked for DWI and released with a Sept. 25 court date.
22-year-old Katye Marie Williams of Sedalia turned herself in to police on Friday around 6:30 p.m. She was wanted on five Municipal TFA warrants. Williams was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $300 cash bond. She now has a new court date of Sept. 18.
20-year-old Heaven Marie McCue of Eldon was arrested at 318 W. Broadway, on a Municipal FTA warrant at 11:50 p.m. Friday night. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $60 bond. She now has a Sept. 4 court date.
On Sept. 1, a man reported that someone threw a brick and broke the passenger window on his vehicle in the 200 block of North Washington overnight.
On Sept. 1 at 8:17 a.m., Sedalia Police took a burglary report at 613 North Osage. Security footage showed a male and female inside the residence. The back door was kicked in and items were stolen. However, the items were later located in a duffle bag in the backyard.
On Sept. 1, a man reported that his green 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was stolen from the 700 block of W. 7th. The vehicle had a bug guard and a luggage rack attached.
On Sept. 1, a man reported that his 1997 Nissan Altima was stolen from his driveway overnight in the 600 block of E. Broadway.
On Sept. 1, a woman said someone entered her unlocked vehicle overnight and took her debit card in the 300 block of W. 5th. The card has since been cancelled.
47-year-old Marion N. Groce of Barnett was arrested by Sedalia Police after he was observed concealing multiple items on his person, then attempting to leave Menard's, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, without paying, on Saturday just before 11 a.m. Groce was issued a Municipal summons and released.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a 1996 Dodge Ram with equipment issues at Main and Washington just after 4 p.m. Saturday. A computer check revealed that the driver, 51-year-old Eric Brian Franken of Sedalia, was driving while suspended. Franken was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a Sept. 10 court date.
Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report on Friday around 3:30 p.m. According to the report, the victim, driving a 2019 Toyota, was stopped in traffic on eastbound Broadway, when another vehicle struck him from behind, damaging his bumper, then fled the scene. The suspect has since been identified, and an investigation is under way.
On Aug. 30, a woman reported the theft of her checkbook from her residence in the 3200 block of W. 10th, and multiple checks had been cashed since then that she didn't write.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a white 2002 Dodge pickup with no headlights at 7:50 a.m. Friday at Engineer and Howard. A computer check revealed that the driver, 30-year-old Juan Jose Loera Santana, had no valid license. He was taken to the SPD, where he was issued a citation and an Oct. 2 court date.
On Aug. 29, a man reported the theft of several items from his truck, which was parked in his driveway in the 3100 block of Katy Trail. There are no suspects.
Sedalia Police arrested 57-year-old Antonio Nandho Baltazar of Sedalia for operating a vehicle without a valid license on Aug. 28 after a traffic stop for failure to maintain his vehicle in a lane. He also had no insurance. Baltazar was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration at 8:17 p.m. Aug. 28 at Broadway and Murray. A computer check revealed that 61-year-old Darreld L. Belle of Sedalia was driving while suspended out of California. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
