At 8:51 Tuesday night, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 7th and Lamine for no license plate light. During an investigation and search of the vehicle officers located marijuana, that was said to be packaged for sale. Arrested at the scene was 28-year-old Vitaliy Surguy of Rural Sedalia. The police report states Surguy was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending drug related charges, including possession and distribution of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Woman’s purse stolen from her vehicle on Sedalia’s Westside

Just after 5:30am Tuesday morning Sedalia Police investigated a theft from a motor vehicle, and property damage complaint in the 1700 block of West 4th. According to a female victim the thief or thieves broke out her passenger side window to steal her purse. The purse contained credit cards and a digital camera according to the victim. Value of the stolen items, and estimated damage to the vehicle was $1050 according to the police report.

Tablet valued at $200 stolen from a Sedalia woman in the 800 block of East 13th

Around 11:11 Tuesday morning a victim in the 800 block of East 13th reported a person known to her had stolen her Tablet valued at $200. There was no information on the suspect in the police report.
