Just before 1:00 Saturday morning (Apr 22), Sedalia Police and troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the 400 block of Welch Court to assist Johnson County authorities. According to the report, Johnson County authorities requested the subject be taken into custody in connection to a Johnson County homicide investigation. The report says the suspect, 31-year-old Jema Heffernan, was arrested and taken to the Pettis/Johnson County Line, where custody was transferred to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. There were no further details listed in that report.


Around 10:00 Friday night (Apr 21), Sedalia Police made contact with a male subject in the area of 11th Street and Engineer Avenue. According to the report, the man was known too have a warrant. Dispatch confirmed the suspect had a Federal Probation Violation warrant. The suspect, 46-year-old Thomas L. Lee, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with no bond. There were no further details listed in that report.


Around 8:00 Friday morning (Apr 21), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Main and Osage Avenue for a vehicle with expired plates. According to the report, dispatch advised the suspect was suspended. The suspect, 27-year-old Daniel Wesley Bremer, was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, pending city charges.
