A Sedalia woman with an active municipal warrant for stealing was arrested on November 6 after police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no license plates. The Sedalia Police Department says 20-year-old Miranda Allison French also had no active driver's license. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail and given a court date of December 16.

Just before 1 p.m. on November 6, Sedalia Police observed a man operating a vehicle on Albright Ct. that was known by officers to have felony Pettis County warrants. Police say the suspect fled after they attempted to stop his vehicle. The suspect's vehicle eventually collided with a pole on Heard Avenue, when he then reportedly tried to escape on foot. At one point, the suspect allegedly entered the back door of a residence and fled through the front door. The occupants of the residence did not know the suspect. Police continued their pursuit and the suspect eventually gave up. 21-year-old Brandon M. Markell was taken into custody. State charges of driving while revoked, resisting arrest and first degree burglary are being sought.
