S.T.I.N.G. Unit arrest a 30-year-old man Monday on drug related charges

According to a Press Release from the Sedalia Police Department’s S.T.I.N.G. Unit, during the overnight hours on Monday the 19th of May, 2014 Detectives, with the Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit, and a Sedalia Police K9 Unit assisted by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, and Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted an investigation into narcotics distribution. The investigation took place in the 1800 block of Honda Road in Pettis County. During the investigation Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and drug packaging material was located. Arrested at the scene was 30-year-old Richard W. Shipps. Shipps faces charges of Distribution of Methamphetamine, Distribution of Marijuana, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. At the time of the press release Shipps was in the Pettis County jail pending a $100,000 bond.
