Sedalia Police Reports For August 13, 2020

Wednesday morning, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to it having expired license plates. Officers contacted the occupants, and were informed the driver did not have driver's license. In addition, there was no insurance for the vehicle and a child in the backseat did not have an appropriate child restraint. Pedro G. Marcos, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department where he was booked for Driving Without a Valid License, No Insurance, and No Child Restraint.
Officers met with Nicholaus Semler on Wednesday morning, who reported damage to his vehicle while it was parked in the 700 block of South Ohio. Semler reported the incident happened the previous evening. Semler obtained an estimate to the damage, which was approximately $2,200. At the time of the report, there was no suspect information.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Menards store Wednesday morning in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Drive, in regard to a theft which had occurred the previous evening. Two items were taken with a combined value of $289.98. The complainant stated they would like to press charges. At the time of the report, the suspects have not yet been identified.
In the early morning hours Thursday, an Officer responded to the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard in reference to a theft. The caller, who was not named in the report, stated she was scammed out of $200 from using a phone application. There are no suspects at this time.
Wednesday evening, Sedalia Police observed a subject on South Grand Avenue near West 15th who was known to have a warrant. Officers made contact with the subject and had dispatch confirm the warrant. The warrant was active through the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Anthony T. Jones, 31, of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a court date and bond to be determined. There was no further information in the report.
Officers were dispatched to the area of South Missouri and West 5th Street for a subject lying in the roadway Wednesday evening. Upon arrival, Officers located the subject, who was intoxicated. Terrell Lydal Peck, 41, Homeless, was taken into protective custody, transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a fit for confinement check, and then transported to the Pettis County Jail until sobriety, or release to a sober person. There are no criminal charges being requested.
Early Thursday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 200 block of West Broadway for a theft in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect was located and arrested. The complainant reported that the suspect stole several food items from the business. Jared M. Macknin, 43, Homeless, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of a state charge for Stealing.
