Early Thursday morning, a car was stopped in the area of East 7th Street and South Washington. The registered owner was suspended and the car was speeding, failing to maintain the right half of the roadway, and attempting to evade the Officer. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was the owner of the vehicle and was also impaired by drugs. Alla Mishchuk, 34, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest, transported to a hospital, and then taken to the Pettis County Jail. Mishchuk was placed on a 24 hour hold on state charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Suspended, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.


 

Wednesday evening, Sedalia Police observed a subject walking near West 4th Street and South Summit Avenue who Officers knew had a probation violation warrant. Officers stopped the subject. The warrant was confirmed: a felony no bond probation/parole violation warrant on original charges of Driving While Revoked. Further investigation revealed the subject was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. Alexandria M. Bates, 36, of Lincoln, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold. Charges of Parole Violation, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia are being sent to the prosecutor.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of West 7th Street Wednesday evening in reference to a subject who was overdosing on drugs. The subject was not breathing. Officers responded, began medical treatment, and administered NARCAN. Sedalia Fire and the Pettis County Ambulance District staff also arrived on scene and began medical treatment. The subject eventually came around and recovered, but refused further treatment or transportation to the hospital.
