Tuesday night, Sedalia Police responded to the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a disturbance. One of the subjects had two active Pettis County warrants for Parole Violation/Failure to Appear. Irving A. Martin, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrants on original charges of Expired License Plates and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License. Martin was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a combined $60 cash only bond.


 

Officers responded to the 2500 block of South Quincy Avenue Tuesday evening for a report of a burglary not in progress. Officers made contact with several victims inside the home, who reported clothing, tools, electronics, medication and a firearm as being stolen from the home.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Bothwell Emergency Room at 601 East 14th Street, for a civil issue Tuesday night. Officers made contact with the victim and determined there was physical abuse caused by the suspect. Officers later made contact with the suspect and arrested him for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Robert Keith James Miller, 26, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on a 24-hour hold, pending charges.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of East 6th in reference to a suicidal subject. After an investigation, it was determined that a domestic assault occurred. Kyle Patrick Moriarity, 30, of Edwards, was arrested on a state charge of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Moriarity was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Monday night, Officers were dispatched to an assault not in progress in the 700 block of East 18th Street. The victim stated that the suspect had shut a car door on his arm, causing a minor injury. A municipal summons for Assault was issued to Christopher M. Holman, 41, of Sedalia with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report in the Police Department lobby Monday evening. An employee of the Wal Mart store reported that earlier that afternoon, a subject entered the store and stole two merchandise items that were valued at $298. The suspect has been identified, and charges of Burglary and Stealing are being requested to the prosecutor. Later in the investigation, the property was located, seized and returned to the business.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to stop at the stop sign at East 3rd Street and South Washington. A check through Dispatch showed the driver had a Pettis County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Suspended and Failing to Wear a Seat Belt. His driving status was also revoked. Jacob Andrew Weeks, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrant with a cash only bond of $166.50.


 

Monday evening, Sedalia Police observed people inside the fenced off area of the Katy Trail Skate Park, 2200 South Grand Avenue. One subject who was identified as a juvenile was arrested for trespassing and then released to a parent. A referral is being completed and sent to the Juvenile Office.


 

Officers responded to the 3900 block of South Limit for a theft report Tuesday evening. Steven J. Carr reported that Sunday night, suspects came on the back property of his business and stole seven catalytic converters off of seven different vehicles. The estimated cost of the stolen property was about $9,000. Carr wished to pursue charges.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of bank fraud Tuesday afternoon in the lobby of the Police Department. Officers spoke with Carl L. Hayes, who stated he lost his debit card, and it was used two times at a nearby ATM. The total amount withdrawn was $206.50. A suspect has not been located at the time of the report.


 

Tuesday afternoon, a woman dropped off a bag with pictures, keys, Social Security cards, and a birth certificate in it that was found behind the Sedalia Urgent Care, 115 West Broadway Boulevard. Officers tried to locate the owner of the property or make contact with them. Officers then packaged the property and placed it into evidence storage.


 

Tuesday afternoon, John A. Kehde came to the Sedalia Police Department and reported that someone had stolen the catalytic converter from a vehicle that had been parked behind the Kehde's BBQ restaurant, 1915 South Limit Avenue. There is no suspect information at this time.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, in reference to a warrant check Tuesday afternoon. Officers arrived and made contact with the suspect, running her information through Dispatch. Dispatch advised the suspect had an active Pettis County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Highway Without a Valid License. Gabriela Marie Pascual, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $250 cash only.


 

Officers took a report of theft by phone on Monday evening. Officers spoke with Ruth Oleynik, who stated she left a wallet in the bathroom of the Fitter's 5th Street Pub, 500 South Ohio Avenue Saturday night. When she returned a few minutes later it was gone. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been located. The wallet was valued at $600.


 

Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Missouri Avenue to attempt to locate a juvenile with an active Division of Youth Services warrant Tuesday morning. The juvenile was contacted and a warrant out of DYS was confirmed hard copy. The juvenile was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Juvenile Office pending extradition by DYS.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 300 block of West 10th in regard to a domestic disturbance Tuesday morning. In the course of the call, it was discovered that each party had shoved the other in the course of an argument. Neither party wanted charges pressed. The incident was documented in a 12-hour log.


 

On the afternoon of March 25th, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station to speak to a subject about a report of forgery that had occurred in the 600 block of West Main Street. When Officers arrived, the subject was gone. Officers were told by Dispatch that the subject had come in the lobby an hour earlier while Officers were on other calls. Officers attempted to contact the subject using the phone number she left on her statement, but it was a wrong number. Officers were not able to make contact with the subject for further information.


 

Monday evening, Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of South Grand Avenue for a disturbance call. The disturbance was unfounded, however a male subject was identified and found to have an active arrest warrant out of Randolph County, Missouri. Anthony Michael Bray, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested without incident on his Parole Violation warrant on original charges of Non Support. Bray was transported to the Pettis County Jail for processing and held pending a $5,000 cash-only bond.


 

Officers stopped a motor vehicle in the 3000 block of West Broadway Boulevard Monday afternoon for expired registration. The operator did not have a valid operator's license and was arrested without incident for Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Highway Without a Valid license. Christopher B. Batzel, 37, of Smithton, was transported to the Pettis County Jail for processing, then booked and released pending formal charges. State charges are being sought due to prior convictions.


 

Monday evening, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the American Legion, 2016 West Main Street in reference to an assault. The victim reported he had been assaulted, and the suspect had also kicked the door to his vehicle before leaving the area. Officers arrived and began speaking to the victim when the suspect returned. Police went to place the suspect under arrest. The suspect began resisting arrest. Dustin L. McIlroy, 39, Homeless, was placed under arrest with the assistance of a Pettis County Deputy. McIlroy was later transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of state charges for Assault in the 4th Degree, Property Damage in 1st Degree, and felony Resisting Arrest.


 

Officers initiated a traffic stop on a White Ford Explorer with expired registration in the area of the 3000 block of West Broadway Boulevard Monday afternoon. The front passenger exited the vehicle and he was detained. Officers ran the suspect's information through Dispatch, who advised the subject had warrants out of Pettis County. One warrant for Probation Violation on an original charge of Harassment carried a cash or surety bond of $4500. Another warrant out of Pettis County for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana carried a bond of $25,000 cash or surety. Viktor Gergovsky, 30, Homeless, was arrested on the warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
