Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West 6th Street in reference to a welfare check. On arrival, Officers made contact with the subject, who had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. One warrant was filed after a citation was issued in December of 2023. The citation was issued for a Miscellaneous Possession of Alcohol charge at Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street. After he did not appear in March, a warrant was issued in April 2024. Bond was set at $60 cash only. The other warrant was also issued in December of 2023*, after the subject was cited for Trespassing in the 1st Degree from the State Fair Shopping Center. After he failed to appear in court in January of 2024, a warrant was issued. Bond was set at $250.00 cash only. Dwight Albert Trester II, 61, of Sedalia, was arrested on his two warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Early Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Missouri Avenue in reference to a 911 hang up. Officers determined the situation to be a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, Officers determined the male subject, who was intoxicated, to be the primary aggressor. Yader Stibi Salinas, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Child Abuse or Neglect (Simple Assault) and felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. There was no further information in the report regarding a hold or a bond status.


 

*The two incidents happened two days apart from each other. The Trespassing charge incident occurred on December 29th, and the Alcohol charge incident occurred on December 27th.
