Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to a report of property damage in the 1400 block of South Missouri Avenue. Officers talked with Stacey Nassar, and identified the roots of a destroyed plant. The incident was documented via a report.


 

Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to found property Thursday night. Allen Charra, an employee of B&B Theaters/Galaxy Theater, 4104 West Main Street, turned in multiple wallets and phones left at the business. Some items were returned to the rightful owners. Others were entered into evidence for safekeeping.


 

On the evening of May 22nd, Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West 11th Street in reference to a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Officers located a subject who had broken into the garage and was asleep on the floor. Anthony C. Morabito, 38, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Morabito was placed on a 12-hour safekeeping hold.


 

Thursday evening, Officers responded to the Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street in reference to a theft. Officers made contact with one of the reporting parties. Officers checked his information with Dispatch and confirmed he has two active warrants out of Pettis County for his arrest. Both were initially citations issued in November of 2023, and a final Failure to Appear warrant was issue din May of 2024. Michael John Smith, 50, of Sedalia, was arrested for his two Failure to Appear warrants on charges of Animal At Large. Smith was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked in, pending a total cash only bond of $200.00.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Dal Whi Mo Court to investigate a report of theft. Upon arrival, Officers met with the victim, Lori Kalamon. After speaking with both sides, Officers determined the suspect had made threatening comments to the victim. Officers are submitting charges against the suspect for Harassment. There is no further information at this time.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard on Thursday afternoon to investigate a theft report. Officers were able to gather information about the thief and his associates in the store. The suspect has been observed stealing chicken wings from the business on more than one occasion. The investigation is ongoing.


 

On the afternoon of May 22nd, Officers spoke with Brian George in the 1800 block of East 5th Street regarding a case of harassment. A report was completed.
