Thursday night, Officers went to the 300 block of McAnally Court for a follow up call on another incident. Officers made contact with two parties, and ran their information through Dispatch. A full order of protection was confirmed to be in place between both parties, with one as the protected party. Jason Jean Spencer, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of charges of Violation Of A Full Order of Protection.


 

Sedalia Detectives executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Bucker Court Thursday morning. Drug paraphernalia was seized from the residence, and no arrests were made.


 

Officers took a report in the Police Station lobby in reference to an assault Wednesday night. The victim stated during a verbal argument, the suspect punched him in the face and then left the area, the 300 block of McAnally Court. The victim was later treated at the Bothwell Regional Health Center for injuries. Officers were able to identify and make contact with the suspect. Brian Daniel Vance, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Assault in the 3rd Degree and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

On the evening of September 10th, Officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a theft. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Kenneth Edward Smith, who said his cell phone had been stolen. No arrests have been made at this time.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers spoke with Larry Twenter in the 1400 block of South Warren Avenue. Twenter wished to report that items had been taken from his vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Sedalia Police noticed a subject who had warrants for their arrest at the Break Time store, 318 West Broadway Boulevard Thursday morning. Officers made contact with the female and Dispatch confirmed the warrants. Sarita L. Leon, 60, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Assault in the 4th Degree. Leon also had a criminal summons for Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Leon was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $250 cash only bond.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers met with Juan Xhacu in the Police Department's lobby. Xhacu wished to report that they had sent two money orders to an unknown suspect earlier in the year. There is no suspect information.


 

Early Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Boonville Street in reference to a subject laying in the street. When Officers arrived, an individual was passed out in the road. Officers attempted to wake them. The individual was eventually woken and arrested. Brian Lee Wilson, 29, of Sedalia, was transported to the BRHC for a fit for confinement check, then taken to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold.

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of West 20th Street in reference to a possible theft. Dena Andrews stated she had been evicted the day prior, and a lot of her property was taken and thrown away by the city. A report was done to document the incident.


 

On the afternoon of September 13th, Officers responded to the Missouri Pressed Metals, 1200 East Boonville Street, in regards to the theft of some coolant. The next day, the suspect in the case was located near the intersection of East 16th Street and South Thompson Avenue. He confessed to the theft. Joseph Thurman, 42, of Sedalia, was issued a citation for Stealing with a court date in November.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a disturbance Thursday afternoon. Several subjects involved claimed other subjects threw liquids on each other during an argument.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers were called to the 400 block of South Grand Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. After identifying both parties involved, one was found to have six active warrants. Four were issued from Pettis County, and two were issued from the City of Sedalia for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, three counts of Driving While Suspended, and two counts of Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway While Suspended. When the warrants were confirmed, the subject was placed under arrest. Don Charles Soriano Palmerin Jr., 23, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a total bond of $1,271.50 cash only. Soriano Palmerin also had a Failure to Appear warrant from Jackson County on original charges of Speeding (16-19 MPH Over the Limit), Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Driving While Suspended.
