The following Sedalia Police crime reports are from the morning of Jan. 23, 2013.

Sedalia Police Assist Children’s Division

Yesterday (Jan. 22), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 Block of North Ohio to assist the Division of Social Services, Children’s Division with an investigation. The Children’s Division received a child abuse complaint and requested assistance with the ongoing investigation.

Several Thefts and Burglaries Reported

A man reported to Sedalia Police that a washer and dryer were stolen by his tenants in the 6000 Block of East 9th between Aug. 1, 2012 and Jan. 21, 2013.

A man in the 300 Block of East Morgan reported a burglary to Sedalia Police. Someone broke into the home between Jan. 15 and Jan. 22, but it’s not known if anything was stolen.

A woman in the 600 Block of North New York reported to Sedalia Police that her home was burglarized between 10 a.m. on Jan. 16 and 4 p.m. on Jan. 18.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that someone threw a huge piece of concrete through a window of a home between Jan. 2 and Jan. 22.

Two Arrests Made by Sedalia Police

Sedalia Police arrested Kimberly Hopkins for having a Benton County warrant for a failure to appear for trespassing, bond set at $800 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested David Doyle for having a warrant for failure to appear on the failure to pay backfines, bond set at $240.60 cash only.
