Sedalia Police Department patrol officers and detectives with the Sedalia STING Unit responded to 347 Buckner Court at 5:27 a.m. this morning (Oct. 4) to serve a drug related search warrant.

Upon arrival, contact was made with five adults and a juvenile who was asleep on the couch. An investigation revealed that 34-year-old Barry J. Monteer was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and packaging supplies. Evidence found during the investigation revealed that Monteer was distributing methamphetamine from the apartment.

Monteer was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school, distribution of a controlled substance near public housing, first degree endangering the welfare of a child, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The press release also states 35-year-old Shelley Fisher and 18-year-old Jacob Bryan were arrested during the investigation. It was determined both subjects were in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The subjects were transported to the Pettis County Jail where they are pending charges of first degree endangering the welfare of a child, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
