Sedalia Police responded to 508 East Walnut Street to serve a no-knock drug related search warrant at 5:05 Wednesday morning (April 30). Upon arrival, entry was forced to the residence and detached garage on the property, and three adult subjects were taken into custody without incident.

During an investigation, a search of the residence by the Sedalia Police Department’s Narcotics K9 Unit revealed methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription pills and additional items indicating methamphetamine was being distributed from the residence and the garage. Arrested at the scene were 42-year-old Chad D. Potter, and 50-year-old Audrey R. Ayres. Both suspects were transported to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

Potter faces charges of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ayres is being charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (Alprazolam), possession of a controlled substance (Carisoprodol), possession of drug paraphernalia and introducing a controlled substance into a jail facility.
