The City of Sedalia has noted that work on the Prairie Hollow Water and Sewer Main Project will begin today, with the first phase of the project will taking place at Cambridge Drive, Knottingham Drive, and Artisan Drive.

Crews will be installing new water and sewer lines. Work in this area is expected to last three to four weeks before the contractor progresses further west.

Excavation work will be located outside of the roadway, with boring taking place under the street.

Road closures are not anticipated. However, drivers should expect heavy equipment in the area and possible congestion, particularly along Knottingham Drive when work moves into that section.

No interruptions in water or sewer service are expected during this project.

“We appreciate residents’ patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure improvement project is underway,” according to Jessica Hoffman, Community Engagement Director.
