Sedalia Woman Injured in Vehicle Accident on Route U

A 48-year old Sedalia woman received minor injuries Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County.

A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates a 2009 Kia overtook and struck the rear of a 2016 Nissan.

The Nissan was reportedly stopped due to traffic congestion on Route U, just south of E. 36th Street.

The driver of the Nissan, Debra S. Reed, received minor injuries in the accident. According to the report, Reed refused medical treatment at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, 20-year old Abigael A. Green, of Sedalia, was reportedly uninjured.
