Here's a look some of our events happening this weekend. 

Epicenter, a new monthly youth program at The Salvation Army of Sedalia, will be held Friday, February 21.

It will also be held on Friday, March 21st, beginning at 6:00pm on both nights. Youth 10 years and older are invited to enjoy free dinner and games. Please call 660-826-1525 for more information.

Heber Hunt Elementary School’s PTA is offering a Trivia Night fundraiser Feb. 21 at the school, 600 S. Warren.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the trivia competition beginning at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per person or $160 per team. Admission price includes chili, a hot dog and a drink; water and ice will be provided and outside food will be welcome. The Sedalia Noonday Optimist Club will have their 10th Annual Breakfast at the Little Big Horn Cattle Company.
It’ll take place on at Little Big Horn, 1629 West Main Street. Saturday, February 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Savor some scrumptious pancakes with sausage or bacon or hearty biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns.  The meal includes complimentary milk, orange juice or coffee.  Adult admission is $6.50 and children 5 to 12 years of age cost $4.50. The 43rd annual Loafer’s Convention will be at the Community Building in Green Ridge. 
It’ll be on Saturday, February 22, one day only, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  There will be a silent auction at 6:00 p.m.  The chicken dinner will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The cost is $7 per dinner and the menu will include chicken, bread, coffee or tea and a choice of three sides: green beans, cole slaw, potato salad, applesauce or cottage cheese.  Also they’ll be serving sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, chili, chips and dessert.  Everyone is invited for a day of loafing, playing cards, or the game of your choice (bring your own).  There will be free coffee, tea and peanuts.  This is sponsored by the Green Ridge Chamber of Commerce.
The Our Savior Lutheran Church will have their rummage and bake sale. 
It’ll be held on February 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  at the church, 3700 West Broadway.  This will raise money for the church and their activities in the community.
The Sedalia Parks and Recreation will have a snowball hunt.

If you haven’t hunted snowballs before, come join the Sedalia Parks & Recreation Department at Clover Dell Park. Who knows what the weather will bring, but we can guarantee there will be snow balls on February 22nd! Look for the 3 age groups we will have set up at the park: Age 3 & younger, 4 – 6 and  7 – 12.  Please, no adults in the areas we have marked off for the hunt. We will sound the horn at 2:00 p.m. sharp and those who find specially marked snowballs will receive a prize – some big, some small!PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY. The snow won’t wait, so please be on time! Don’t forget to bundle up and bring a bag. Note: the event will be cancelled if low cloud cover or fog is present.

The American Legion and Auxiliary Post 305 of Cole Camp will have their first Homestyle Supper.

They’ll have roast beef and ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, homemade bread, hot German Potato salad, cole slaw, and all the pie and cake you can eat.  Adult tickets in advance are $8, at the door it goes up to $9.  For children aged 6-12, the cost is $3, and pre school children eat free.  Matching funds will be met by Thrivent Financial.  Come and support your local American Legion and Legion Auxiliary.
