Sacred Heart varsity volleyball went 2-2 at the Warrensburg Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Varsity took fifth place out of eight teams.

Varsity lost to Pleasant Hill 23-25 and 11-25, lost to California High School, 17-25 and 16-25, and beat Adrian 25-19 and 25-10 to come out third in pool play.

Due to COVID, Warrensburg eliminated bracket play so they cross pooled with the third place team in the other pool which was Tipton.  Sacred Heart beat Tipton in two sets, 25-20, 25-22.

“It was a successful weekend of volleyball and definitely prepared the team for the tournaments coming ahead,” commented head coach Marlo Siron.

The next match is Tuesday, Oct. 6  at Northwest Junior High at 5 p.m., followed by JV and Varsity.  Varsity will play the best two out of three sets.

This brings the varsity record to 11-7-1 in overall play, coach Siron said.
