Six people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday north of Sedalia.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2014 Chevy Traverse driven by 26-year-old Tiffany R. Jones of Sedalia failed to yield to a northbound 2014 Chevy Cruze driven by 28-year-old Stephanie A. Chenault of Sedalia at 5:38 p.m. at Highway 65 and Radio Hill Road. The Traverse pulled into the path of the Cruze and was struck.

Chenault (driver of the Cruze) had minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by her mother. Chenault was wearing a safety device.

Injured in the Traverse were three juveniles, ages 2 (minor), 4 (moderate) and 7 (moderate), as well as Jones (moderate) and 27-year-old Matthew R. Jones (minor). All were transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The adults were wearing safety devices, according to the report. The juveniles were not.

The Cruze was totaled, while the Traverse had moderate damage. Both vehicles were towed.

Pettis County Fire and deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
