Skyline Elementary special education teacher Jill Kindle is the recipient of the Superintendent’s Bell Ringer Award for November.

The monthly award is a way for Superintendent Steve Triplett to honor Sedalia 200 staff members who put the district’s mission statement into action and those who display exemplary effort in celebrating student success. Winners are selected from nominations made by staff members and administrators.

Kindle’s nominator wrote: “Jill works so hard with our children at Skyline. She is always finding ways to praise their hard work and recognizes their efforts no matter how big or small. She is an advocate for the students she works with and as a parent of one of these students it settles my heart to know that she is looking out for them.

"I've always seen her greet the students with a hug and smile along with always being a team player with parents and staff as decisions are made. Her sunny attitude and caring heart shines through with all she does. She is such a valuable asset to the school district and I feel she deserves recognition for all she does."

Triplett said, “Jill Kindle makes a difference in the lives of her students every day. Her passion for her students’ education and well-being is evident. Raising awareness to the outstanding work of staff members like Ms. Kindle is what the Bell Ringer is all about. We are fortunate to have her working on behalf of Skyline students and their families.”

Other nominees for November were: Jessica Lutjen, Kelly Smith, Peggy Blatterman, and Rosa Marcos, Skyline Elementary; Matt Clark, Jordan Fields, Andrea Kuhlman, and Angie Richardson, Horace Mann Elementary; Amanda Jackson, Emily Swift, and Allison Stucker, Heber Hunt Elementary; Laura Peck, Parkview Elementary; Morgan Renfrow, Amber Boles, and Ella Oliver, Sedalia Middle School; Chris Yeager, Megan Sparks, Laura Beth Fisher, and Stephen Broadbent, Smith-Cotton Junior High; Donna Craig, Elizabeth Carter, and Michael Franklin, Smith-Cotton High School.
