Slater Man Injured in Pettis Co. After Truck Travels Down Ravine

A 68-year old man from Slater, MO was injured Tuesday morning after his truck traveled down a ravine in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 10:00, on US-65 at John Road.

According to the online crash report, a 2001 Toyota Tundra traveled off the road, struck a guardrail and overturned multiple times as it traveled down a ravine.

The driver, 68-year old Arnold E. Dickey, suffered serious injuries. Dickey was taken to University Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a safety device. The Toyota was totaled and towed.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
