Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers Swimmers Fourth at Belton

The Smith-Cotton girls swimming team finished fourth Wednesday in the Belton Dual meet.

Top finishes for the S-C: Valentyna Usyk, fourth in the 100-yard butterfly; Mariah Turner, sixth in the 500-yard freestyle, ninth in the 200-yard freestyle; Abby Osorio, sixth in the 100-yard butterfly and 10th in the 200-yard individual medley; Hunter Sparks, seventh in the 100-yard backstroke; Rachael Meyer, 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke; Makenna Steger, 10th in the 200-yard freestyle.

The 200-yard medley relay team (Meyer, Usyk, Turner, Steger) and the 200-yard freestyle relay team (Osorio, Meyer, Usyk, Turner) both finished sixth.

Belton edged out Platte County for first in the meet; Raymore Peculiar High was third.
