It's the 7th of May and with what we are currently experiencing with the COVID-19 virus, do you think we will be sitting in the Pepsi Grandstand for concerts at the Missouri State Fair this August?

Of course the big question is if the Missouri State Fair will go on as scheduled from August 13-23? I would like to see it happen but not really sure how we could make it happen. I know the discussion has been talked about with leaders across the state.

Governor Mike Parson talked about the state fair during a news conference this week. Although he said it is too early to tell what will happen this year, it will be an ongoing discussion as the dates of the fair draw nearer.

So, back to the original question...are you ready for concerts at the Missouri State Fair? First off, I'm not really sure at what point artists will be willing to put their names out there to fill those concert slots. I think some would jump at the opportunity to be outside at a venue entertaining their fans while others may still have some reservations.

I would like nothing more for the state fair officials to be able to pull it off. I think if it was to be done, a lot of folks would jump at the opportunity to buy the tickets. Cabin fever is running rampant right now.

On the other hand what could be done to make the opportunity as safe as possible? Many questions are out there and I believe officials are trying to come up with answers.

As for right now, it's still on the schedule. Here's hoping for the best!
