Pettis County Commission Amends Solid Waste Management Ordinance

The Pettis County Commission has approved amendments to the County's Solid Waste Management Ordinance to comply with the recent ruling issued by Judge Hayden.
These amendments are necessary to bring the ordinance into compliance with the court's decision while preserving the County's ability to exercise its lawful authority over solid waste management matters.

Since this issue first arose, the Commission has consistently worked to represent the interests of Pettis County residents and property owners. The concerns raised by citizens regarding the potential impacts of solid waste management regulations and the proposed landfill expansion remain significant and continue to be carefully considered by the Commission.
