We're just into the third week of Summer but for many it's time to think about the next chapter in their education. Fall enrollment is underway at State Fair Community College.

New students can apply online at www.sfccmo.edu, and then they’ll have a meeting with their own navigator (advisor) to get enrolled in classes.

Admissions and Outreach is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to answer questions and provide help with the application process by either calling (660) 530-5833 or by stopping by the Hopkins Student Services Center.

Classes begin Aug. 1 (10-day minimester) and Aug. 21 (fall semester).

If you would like a personalized tour of the Sedalia campus, summer visit days are from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays and 1:00-2:30 p.m. Fridays. Go to www.sfccmo.edu/visit to reserve a spot.

Other activities that are scheduled at SFCC include-

*** Coaches Meet and Greet sponsored by the Roadrunners Booster Club is 6:00-8:00 p.m. July 31 in the Kempton Room in the Davis MPC. It’s a great chance to meet the new soccer coach, Jaime Beltran, and new men’s head basketball coach, Matt Brown, as well as chat with all the other coaches about upcoming seasons.

*** Soccer Home Opener is Aug. 16 (men and women)

*** Solar Eclipse Viewing Party is noon to 2:00 p.m. Aug. 21 on the quad for students, employees and the community. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks; a student clubs/organizations and local businesses fair; and free protective eyeglasses (limited supply). SFCC students and employees with a BLUECARD can eat free; the public can eat for $5 per person. Special T-shirts will be for sale for $10.
