In September, State Fair Community College awarded Adolfo Suarez and Jerry Ronsley, students in SFCC’s Apprenticeship program, their Industrial Machinist System Technician completion certificates.

Both reside in Marshall and are employed at ConAgra Frozen Foods in Marshall.

“We are very proud and pleased to present Adolfo and Jerry with their completion certificates,” said Lori Blalock, SFCC Apprenticeship director. “Apprenticeships bring together job-related instruction with on-the-job experience, and Adolfo, Jerry and ConAgra are a classic example of how companies and employees can benefit from this type of training.”

Earlier, Suarez received the Outstanding Apprentice award from the Department of Economic Development in recognition of his progress through the Apprenticeship program. ConAgra, SFCC instructors and Director Blalock nominated Suarez for the award.

Sarah Manuel, SFCC Apprenticeship coordinator, presented the certificates to Suarez and Ronsley at ConAgra and said, “As we celebrate Adolfo and Jerry, we look forward to celebrating the success of our current and future apprentice completers. We also look forward to growing more apprenticeship partnerships in the communities we serve.”
