Sunday Morning Fire Destroys Golden Valley Tractor in Clinton
An early Sunday morning fire has destroyed a farm equipment dealership in Clinton.
According to the Clinton Fire Department, firefighters were called to the scene at 4:01 a.m. at 1403 North 2nd Street in Clinton.
The department posted an update on their facebook page:
There were no reports of injuries on scene. Second Street was closed from Rives Road to Hillcrest Drive, the fire department noted. The fire has since brought under control, but the building was destroyed.
Mutual aid came from Warrensburg and Urich, it was noted. A total of 20 firefighters were on scene.
CFD said the State Fire Marshall was called to investigate, but the cause appears to be accidental. The fire department will remain on scene to knock down any flares-ups.
Golden Valley Tractor also has a location in Harrisonville. Clinton is about 45 miles southwest of Sedalia.
