Survival Adult Abuse Center Looks To Raise $15,000 At Fifth Annual “Girls’ Night Out” Fundraiser
The Johnson County Survival Adult Abuse Center's Fifth annual "Girls' Night Out" fundraiser will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 25, in the Elliot Union Ballroom at the University of Central Missouri. Survival has a goal $15,000 for this year's "Girls' Night Out" to fight domestic abuse.

A search warrant served this morning (Oct. 30) at a Johnson County residence resulted in the rescue of 45 dogs from an unlicensed breeding facility.  The Missouri Department of Agriculture, the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Task Force and the Johnson County Sheriff's Department took custody of the Chihuahua, Chihuahua-mix dogs, Shih Tzus and a rabbit from the residence of Aaron Bishop

I thought about telling you what I think should happen to a man that abuses a woman, but then I figured the images that it would conjure are too graphic to put on this site.  Suffice it to say that I think they should be dealt with swiftly and severely. There are several different types of abuse.  Physical, sexual violence/abuse, psychological and economic.  Many times, multiple forms will manifes
