I know when a lot of us think of the Missouri State Fair, we think of live music, carnival rides, food and fun.  But, part of that fun is sometimes overlooked: the hard work and dedication of the groups, organizations, and people in all the buildings and exhibits.

The Native American Artifact Show was held this past Saturday (June 28).

The Sedalia Area Farmers' Market has become a tradition in our area.  We're surrounded by people and places that thrive in agricultural subjects, and our local growers are some of the best. If you want the best in fresh, local food and produce, you can't beat the Farmers' Market.

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a prescribed burn workshop 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Trails West Regional Library, 432 N. Holden St. in Warrensburg.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri farmers appear to have grown more corn and soybeans last year than in 2012.

On Tuesday morning (Nov. 19), Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and Senator Roy Blunt spoke to a large crowd in the Mathewson Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds during a celebration of MFA's 100th anniversary.

This morning (Nov.14), I had the opportunity to talk to Missouri State Representative for the 52nd District, Stanley Cox. Cox talked about several issues, including a new committee he has been appointed to co-chair and the Medicaid system in the State of Missouri.
