Arrests

A man in the 400 Block of North Hurley reported to Pettis County Deputies that he was assaulted, and the other man said he was assaulted. Sedalia Police arrested Joshua Smith and Timothy Klein for assault, bond set at $531.50 cash/surety.

Early this morning, a captain for a Mississippi police department said that they possibly had a stolen vehicle that had not been reported as of yet. The Mississippi police said that they were in possession of a maroon 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse, in which a suspect said that they stole the car from a Sedalia car dealership. The vehicle has not been reported stolen as of right now.

A woman in the 1300 Block of East Boonville reported to Sedalia Police that her identity was stolen while she was in prison. A man reported to Sedalia Police that his debit card was stolen while he was in jail sometime since July 25. Pettis County Deputies received a report from the 900 Block of McVey Road that someone used a debit card fraudulently...

A man in the 400 Block of West 22nd reported to Sedalia Police that between July 30 and August 1, someone stole his red and white 21-speed Next 26-inch men's mountain bike. The bike is valued at $120.

A woman in the 300 Block of East 2nd reported to Sedalia Police that someone entered the apartment and went through some dressers and closets, but nothing was stolen. A man in the 300 Block of North Engineer reported to Sedalia Police that a black 1988 Chevy S-10 was taken by a known suspect without his consent...

Another scam has been reported to Sedalia Police as a person in the 700 Block of East 14th had someone call, claiming to be from Medicare and asked for personal information. The information was given and then it was discovered that $447.34 was taken out of the bank account without authorization...

Early yesterday morning at 1:57, Sedalia Police went to the Bings East for a report of a juvenile in front of the store after curfew. The juvenile stated she was dropped off by a suspect because she had to leave for Kansas City and did not have time to take her where she would have proper supervision. The juvenile's parents were contacted where she returned home safely.
