The Blockbuster in Sedalia has officially closed and is now an empty building. A few weeks ago, I asked you what new business would you like to see move into that location. Here are a few of your responses.
"Everything Must Go!" reads the sign that sits in front of Blockbuster on South Limit. With the popularity of Redbox and Netflix, Blockbuster has been closing down stores at an extremely high rate. While some are upset about the closing of Blockbuster, others are excited about the possibility of something new here in Sedalia.
The Blockbuster Store in Sedalia announced via Facebook that they would be closing their doors on Oct. 25, 2013. Last weekend was the final weekend that you could rent from Blockbuster Video. Although many of the Blockbuster Stores were closing nationwide in the last few years, the one in Sedalia had stayed open. Blockbuster Video is the last video chain to remain open in Sedalia.
